Fort Lee Parking Authority

"We're not just about the enforcement."

The Fort Lee Parking Authority is a statutory parking agency, established in 1954 by the Fort Lee Mayor and Council under N.J.S. 40:11A. The Borough then had a population of approximately 16,000, as compared to the present population estimated at 38,000. The Parking Authority started with 5 Commissioners.
Today the Parking Authority is involved not only in parking, but over the years at the request of Borough Councils also agreed to provide bus transportation to seniors; non-emergency medical transportation; a main street shuttle for everyone, and a ferry shuttle service; developing and operating a Residential Parking Program; and administering the Borough Street Sweeping Program. Further, it established small off-street parking lots, handicap parking spaces, and is an integral part of the Borough’s Emergency Management Team. All of its services are provided to benefit Fort Lee’s residents and businesses.
